Pay Per Click (PPC) Book
***UPDATE - My PPC Book is in the works. We are over 100 pages deep already, so I’m starting to think this thing will actually get done. So, until you can get your hands on the world’s best pay per click book, I wanted to point you in the direction of some excellent resources currently available online now.
Aaron Wall of SEOBook has a good overview for beginners. It’s a bit outdated now (I’m not sure when it was written), but if you need a good primer on what PPC is and how it works, this is a good read.

Of course, you do need to master the materials directly from Adwords. Even experienced PPC advertisers can learn something new from the comprehensive materials on the Google Adwords learning center. What you want to keep in mind as you study their advice is that GOOGLE IS THE AD NETWORK. It’s a bit like learning how to buy realestate from your own real estate agent. They’re going to have their best interest in mind.
