If you’re curious as to how the new Adwords Quality Score changes will appear in your account you can see some of what I’m seeing below. It’s a slow rollout I’m told and will take several weeks. Currently only in 1 account that I can see.

Notice the difference between first page bid with OK vs Great

  1. 1. Peter Matriciano Says:

How come you get to see it and I don’t :(

  2. 2. Olli Says:

The first-page bid is also affected by the amount of search requests. And you also have got a first-page bid of 0,20$ though quality score is great. It doesn´t really say anything, but it could… ;-)

  3. 3. Jeff Hudson Says:

Thanks for stopping by Olli -

As you suggest, there are other factors involved. I realize the screenshot is out of context if you can’t see the keywords, etc. It’s as much as I can show, however.

  4. 4. Gerold Says:

But you also have another “Great” which also costs .20.. why?

  5. 5. Jeff Hudson Says:

Because it’s a different keyword Gerold. Completely different set of circumstances. I wouldn’t read too much into these screenshots other than the fact that you’ll have more information about your keyword quality score and your bids.

It’s going to take a few weeks of playing around to see any really useful trends.

  6. 6. BJ Wright Says:

I understand that the rollout will happen over the next few weeks. But where in your account would you go to view the 2nd image, with the quality score?

  7. 7. Willi Says:

After the Quality Score has been rolled out, have you seen some changes in the account (more impressions, cost …)?

  8. 8. Jeff Hudson Says:

Willi – I haven’t seen any changes significant enough to document. Good question. I expect that we’ll see measurable data at some point, but this appears to be one of those ’subtle’ changes. A lamb in wolf’s clothing, so to speak.

  9. 9. adwords Says:

What I don’t like is the new real-time QS. It will be based in part on geographic location. The great thing about the internet is that it opens you up to the world. Now the Google changes are shove right back into you geographical box and show you merchants from you neighboorhood.
